It was a gorgeous weekend here in the Northeast and fall is here. This is my favorite time of year and I try and cherish every one of these crisp fall days with my sweater and scarf and favorite pair of jeans.
Do you know what else makes me think of fall?
This gorgeous wreath Paula Gilarde made. What a great way to showcase how you can use a few of the different lines Core’dinations Color Cardstock together. I can just imagine how happy I would be every time I came home to see this hanging on my door!

Here is a close up showing how Paula embossed and sanded each leaf and how the color core shows through the Chocolate Box Cardstock.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I apologize for the length between posts this week but I have been battling a terrible cold that knocked me out. I wanted to share this card for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Most people have been touched by this disease in one way or another so we, at Core’dinations Cardstock, ask you to take time and get your mammograms, take care of yourself by being vigilant and do a self breast exam regularly. I know it is hard because we get busy but the best thing we can do for our family and friends is take care of ourselves.
With that being said, here is a card I created for a dear friend battling this disease right now using the Quickutz Awareness ribbon die. I cut little slits in each ribbon and adhered them together because when I think of this disease, I think about how we need to fight together to defeat it one day.

Also, this week is Ichthyosis Awareness Week. Our fearless leader, Sarah Hodgkinson has taught us a lot about this disease and if you get the chance please visit the site to learn more about what you can do.
Here is a beautiful bookmark Sarah and her daughter made:
Ema and Sarah made butterflies using a Cuttlebug die/embossing folder set and then sanded them lightly…using Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock. She then typed out a few facts about ichthyosis and added them to the body of the bookmark.

Happy October Everyone!
Kimber made this beautiful card that just makes me want to run to the pumpkin patch! Remember, just because Core’dinations is full of texture, it doesn’t mean that you cannot stamp on it.

For more inspiration from Kimber check out her gallery here.
And this layout….Now doesn’t this make you want to grab your camera, rake some leaves and jump in? If it doesn’t, than I don’t know what will!

Today’s Designer Spotlight is on the wonderful Lydia Jackson.

Make sure you check out her gallery here and her blog for more fabulous inspiration!
Here is a little bit about Lydia in her own words:
My name is Lydia Jackson and I live on the beautiful west coast of Canada, I am a SAHM, with two little boys who are my whole world. I am married to an adoring husband, who loves me, keeps me grounded and supports my addiction to paper. I love life and all it’s imperfections, and I live by and struggle with my motto, believe and anything is possible. I have been formally scrapbooking for 11 years, but I have been a crafter my whole life. I am incredibly excited to be a part of the Core-dinations design team, for me, it is a dream come true.
Check out these cool layouts from Lydia…
This one is with the NEW Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions Collection

And in this layout, Lydia demonstrates how easy it is to make your own background paper with Core’dinations Cardstock. Combined with some fabulous Jillibean Soup products and fun photos, this makes for one adorable layout!
