And Today we have a project for from Designer Jennifer Edwardson:
I have been a HUGE Tombow adhesive fan for a very long time, so naturally I was excited to show off my love of this glue for the Core’dinations / Tombow Blog Hop !!
One of my fave Tombow adhesives is the Glue Pen. It truly is the best for adhereing tiny little pieces without having any excess glue sneak out the sides )
I started this card using a piece of Core’dinations cardstock from the Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection (No. 28 – LOVE the kraft core) …… I cut a 12 x 12″ sheet down to 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 and then folded it in half to open like a tent. I then put the front of the card base into the Darice Woodgrain embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot. I lightly sanded off the top layer and got a super effect for the front of the card
Using several different pieces of cardstock from the 6 x 6″ pkgs, I cut the branch, owls and hearts using my Silhouette. Because this cutting tool is so precise, you can get teeny tiny little pieces of cardstock. This is why I love the Tombow Glue Pen. It was so easy for me to ‘draw’ my glue onto the back of all these little bits and they adhered perfectly where I wanted them …..
To finish it off I adhered a sentiment sticker from the David Tutera Celebrate Card Making system using 3D foam ….. Too cute !!
And check out these tiny pieces…you DEFINITELY need a tool like the Tombow Glue pen to get in those details and not make a mess.
Today we have some layouts from Design Team Member Jennifer Edwardson! She is working some circles and tags for you today so we hope you enjoy!
This was a step outside of the box layout for me. I am very linear in my designing and usually shy away from circles since I can’t seem to keep them in a straight line ) I have been playing around with my Silhouette lately and found this super cute circle template so I cut it to 11 x 11″ using a piece of ‘Shattered’ cardstock.
I really wanted to use it twice on this layout so I layed it underneath my Kraft Core base and lightly sanded over top to have the image come through on top. I added my photo first and then started embellishing around it …… I took the circle template and carefully cut it into several pieces and adhered them around the photo slightly overlapping in spots and laying off the edge of the layout in others.
To add some more color I chose 4 pieces from the Tim Holtz & Ranger Distress Collection and punched a couple sizes of circles out. I ran them through my Big Shot using a spotted embossing template and lightly sanded them to make the dots pop !! I raised all these circles around the layout to appear like I am ‘juggling’ lots of balls in the air …. (read the journaling)

AND how about some Core Tags? If you come around our blog a lot then you know how much we love love love Core Tags! They come with a metal grommet and are perfect for any paper crafter….scrabookers…cardmakers…we all love them and Jennifer has a layout that just rocks them!
Over the years I’ve seen adorable tag projects but have never takent the time to create one myself …. Until I got these fantastic Core’dinations tags – LOVE them !!!
Of course like many of you I’m sure, I tend to take an absolute TON of pics of my kids and the stack I have of Alexander’s 1st soccer camp from a few summers back was crazy !! Lots of them were taken from quite far away but the expressions on his face and his actions were so cute I wanted to capture them all but needed to crop the photos small to really focus on him.
I started with a Spotted Jillian Dot base in French Roast and sanded off the top to show my fave big dots underneath. I chose 4 colors in 2 sizes of tags to emboss and ran them through my Big Shot with different Darice embossing folders (LOVE the clouds) …..
I adhere them to the outside edges of the base and then strung natural colored twine through the eyelets and tied them together …..
I cropped my photos and lightly sanded the edges to give me a nice white border and then rasied them onto 6 of the tags using 3D foam. I typed my journaling onto Snowflake cardstock and trimmed it to fit throughout the layout ….. All that was left was to add a title with some mini alphas !!!

Darice Embossing Folders – Stars, Stars Small, Cloudy Sky
I have to say I am a little a LOT biased when it comes to this layout! Which reminds me I need April to send me this photo! Isn’t it great? We had so much fun working at CHA. YES..I said working, LOL! Pinch me I never knew working could be so much fun!
I guess it is fitting that April used two of my favorite Core products on this layout. Okay, okay, you got me..they are all my Favorite but Tim Holtz Shattered cardstock and Core Tags are a match made in heaven! Kind of like us in this photo…awwwww
Wanna close-up of those awesome Core Tags??!?!?!?!?!!??! Don’t you love that added gems that April put in the metal grommet? As if the metal grommet detail wasn’t enough? NEVER!
And another close up for you:
