June Color Inspiration

We have been so crazy this month we only got to post twice about our June Colour Lover’s Inspiration from our Pinterest Board.

Summer is crazy, isn’t it?!?!? Before I show you this super cute card …did you hear??!?!?!??!!?!?!??!

Mark your calendars…all you need is CORE!

Here is our June Inspiration piece…

And Debbie Standard’s take. LOVE how she used the tone on tone here. Debbie used the Stacy Julian Core Impressions line. In that pack you get pre-embossed sheets and canvas (plain Core Essentials) sheets that match so you can core’dinate easy projects like this. The different embossed patterns look amazing, too!

Add some May Arts ribbon and you have a gorgeous card!

Happy Canada Day!

I know that Canada Day isn’t for a few days but we wanted  to share a project with you to create just in time for that special day!
Design Team Member Char Dobson created this gorgeous project for you today with her daughter for our series Kids Krafts & Core.
Project: Canada Day Mini-Album
Techniques: sanding, paper tearing,  stamping
Other supplies: Paper lunch bags, Crop-a-Dile, Jute, Cricut Go Canada cartridge, Quickutz Canadian Collection die set, Sakura black journaling pen, Ranger Distress Ink in black, Pink by Design Canada stamp set, Images printed from the internet
Notes: We really wanted to do a project showcasing what we love about Canada; and thins that make us proud to be Canadian. My daughter chose the theme and design for each page on her own. So not only are you experiencing her artwork through this mini-album, but her own true feelings about being a Canadian as well. I mostly just ran the Cricut and helped to glue down some of those fussy phrases!
Don’t be afraid to use found objects in your house. Char actually used a wooden maple leaf that had in her house. They traced it using a stylus!
Making a mini album about your country is a great way for children to learn first hand about their country.
Trust us!!!
Kids LOVE sanding with their Sand It Gadgets!!! The Spotted collection is a perfect line because kids can see the dots right away. Don’t forget about our spotted in 6×6 …perfect for mini albums!
Paper tearing is a super simple way for kids to really explore texture AND it’s FUN!
Have your kids journal directly on the Core Cardstock like Char’s daughter did here!
And a cute stamped image on the back!

Shaunte uses a GREAT mix of Stacy Julian Core impressions {how much do you LOVE that yellow!!!!}, Vintage and Core Tags.

Love the scor’d frame on the Tim Holtz-Kraft Core.

The Vintage cardstock  makes a GREAT football, doesn’t it?!  And Shaunte really worked that very cool Bella Blvd. decorative tape along the bottom.

Happy Friday!

(edited with last month’s winner)

First up we want to Congratulate Courtney! She is the winner for last month’s Colour Challenge.  Email ellen.sosnoski@coredinations.com with your address information. Prizes will not go out until September 12  due to us being out of the office at an event.

Here is the cute card she made.  Love all the great Cricut work and the glossy accents. A GREAT example of how Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock can be your go to cardstock for any project.

You can see her entry here on her blog.

Now it is time to live with September’s Colour Challenge!!!

It is all about colour for sure.

Again, our inspiration piece comes from our Pinterest Colour Lover’s Board. Every Month Design Team Member Lydia Jackson gets the incredibly difficult task of choosing one of the beautiful color schemes found in Pinterest.

This month it is all  about back to school!

What is better than rainbow crayons???

Our Core Essentials line is PERFECT for this challenge. LOADS AND LOADS of gorgeous colours…..

Design Team Member Debbie Standard Created this fun card using this colour inspiration using loads of embossing and sanding:

AND…Debbie created a layout, too.

The great thing about this inspiration piece is that you don’t have to use every single colour like Debbie did here.  She focused on the blue, red, yellow, orange and brown. Looks awesome, don’t you agree?  The Stacy Julian Line Core Impressions is great for this challenge as well. No one does Colour like Stacy!

Remember you must use Core’dinations Cardstock on your project and link back to THIS post by September 30th or link us up on our Facebook page.

We hope this week is going to be a great one for you. Today we wanted to showcase a few projects using different lines of Core’dinations. The great thing about our cardstock is that you can mix and match our lines to create unique, one of a kind projects.

Each line core’dinates with the others! So get out that Core Impressions and Core Amour and that Vintage and Core Essentials and get ready to be inspired.

If this card by Design Team member Heather Bowser doesn’t get your week started of brilliantly than I don’t know what will. Check out the mix of textures and different Core’dinations cardstock (Vintage, Core Essentials, Stacy Julian Core Impressions).

And for this layout, Design Team Member Cari Locken uses Graphic 45 Core Impressions (background), Core Amour (striped strips along the top and bottom) and Core Essentials.

Have you seen our video on paper tearing?  It is such a simple and effective way to add texture and release that gorgeous inner core!

Have a great week. I have a busy day today picking our winners from our Facebook give-a-way  last week and this weekend so stay tuned for some announcements!

But before we get started….just a friendly reminder that….

First up we have the cutest layout from Design Team Member Heather Bowser. From the clouds to the stitched raindrops…it doesn’t get much cuter than this!   And it’s ALL cardstock! Heather mixed and matched FOUR different kinds of Core:  Core Couture, Pearls, Core Essentials, and Stacy Julian Core Impressions on this layout.

And next up is a layout from Design Team Member Kandis Smith using Core Essentials and Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions.

How great does that stamp look on the Core Impressions woodgrain?

It’s Glitter Silk!   Have you seen our NEW Glitter Silk paper that debuted at CHA this winter?  It is awesome!!! If you haven’t asked your favorite retailer to get, you should!

It is smooth like silk….meaning it cuts like butter. NO tearing in your paper trimmer, NO destroying your favorite scissors. Smooth as SILK!

AND it looks gorgeous paired with our other shimmery paper lines like Gemstones and Core Couture as seen in this layout by Design Team Member Heather Bowser. Notice she cut hers with a die cut machine?

Other Core’dinations used on this layout: Stacy Julian Core Impressions and Core Essentials.

And Glitter Silk is paired with some more Core Couture and Core Essentials on a card by Design Team Member Ellen Sosnoski:

Preferred Partner Supplies: Spellbinders, Sizzix and Fiskars.

Have a GREAT week!

Happy Thursday everyone. Today’s post is about mixing our Core Impressions lines with patterned paper. The great thing about these paper packs is that they are cardstock yet they can work just like patterned paper.

For instance, this layout by Design Team Member Kandis Smith. Notice how she uses the Damask print from the Graphic 45 Timeless Core Impressions line.  She paired with some October Afternoon papers that have a completely different pattern. And check out that little strip of Gemstone. Perfect!

Also on this layout from our preferred partners: Queen & Co. Gemstones and Maya Road Chipboard.

And here is card from Kandis using the Stacy Julian Core Impressions dot cardstock. Who needs patterned paper when you’ve got this collection in your stash? Paired with the Graphic 45 tags and some Core Essentials, you’ve got a match made in heaven.

And one last example from Kandis. Check out this layout with the Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions against the graphic prints!  And of course that cute smile doesn’t hurt ;) We would love to see how you used your Core Impressions!!! Make sure you link us up on our Facebook page or in the comments here.

Have a GREAT week!

Today we have some more layouts from our Design Team using Helmar Adhesives.

First up how about this sweeeeeet layout from Heather Bowser using the Stacy Julian Core Impression line? She used 450 quick Dry Adhesive for the felt flowers and the Tape Runner for the remainder of the layout.

Next us is a layout from Char Dobson. LOVE these bright colors from the Stacy Julian Core Impressions line! Char added dimension to the stars with Helmar Zap dots.

And another layout from Hera Frei using the Helmar Tape Runner…your go to adhesive for all your paper crafting needs! Such a great color palette with the Jillibean Soup Core Impressions Cardstock.

See you tomorrow for the Grande Finale of our wonderful week of Helmar!!!!!

And neither did Design Team Member Cari Locken. She busted out some Stacy Julian for this fun and warm layout.  Just because it’s Fall, doesn’t mean we can forget about those wonderful Summer photos.

Cari combined Stacy Julian Core Impressions, Whitewash and myStampBOX stamps for this layout. Make sure you check out all the fabulous details like the scoring and her use of the negative space from the butterfly punch.

Have a colorful day!
