Hello! Jill from Every Day is an Occasion here to share a double sided magnetic board with you today. I love making these magnetic boards because they are super fun to hold pictures I print from Instagram.
Double Sided Magnetic Board
This summer I was fortunate enough to go to CHA and while I was there a must-do on my list was meet Heidi Swapp. To showcase my holiday photos this season I made a magnetic board. It’s super easy and quite festive.
The 4 small magnets are made using Heidi Swapp’s 12 x12 Believe paper pack and the Epiphany Crafts 25 Round tool. The bow is actually a magnet , too! You can get little magnets at your local craft store and you can get full sheets, too, so you can cut them any size you want. The bow is Core’s Tim Holtz Seasonal Impressions paper and cut from my Silhouette. EASY!
Just cover the magnets with patterned paper after you cut them with the Epiphany Crafts round tool so they will “stick” to the back. This way you can change photos or even make a Christmas countdown. So many possibilities with this easy project.
And if check out yesterday’s post you will see one of Clare’s gorgeous cards and we have another one for you today, too!
Make card from cardstock. Emboss Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection cardstock, sand with Sand-It gadget and wipe with Dust Buddy. Ink edges with Distress Ink and adhere to card front. Add patterned paper across card. Add lace, ribbon and ric rac. Layer sentiment panel onto patterned paper, ink edges and machine stitch border, adhere to card with foam pads. Attach bow embellishment.
Love this card? Here is how Clare did it:
Make cardbase from cardstock. Emboss Black Magic cardstock, sand using Sand-It Gadget and wipe with Dust Buddy. Ink edges using Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink, adhere to card and round bottom corners. Add patterned paper (Authentique Thrilling Collection) panel and adhere sticker stitches. Add ribbon, bow and twine. Adhere Authentique Thrilling Collection stickers to cardstock, ink edges and fussy cut, attach to card using foam pads. Adhere flower, enamel dot and broom, to finish.
EEEEEK! I love Halloween so much I can’t stand it! So over the next few weeks we will be showcasing some Halloween projects for you. First up we have Ava Gavloski working her Core magic Halloween style
AND Ava totally works the Core Cuts. She used one of the diecuts from the Core Cuts pack, folded it in half and made a card out of it! BRILLIANT!
How magical are the Imaginisce glam rocks on this blackboard feel presentation? Top off your cards with a bit of May Arts ribbon and you have the upscale look of fashion on your cards.

Tis the season upon us and what better way to celebrate and encourage the spirit of Halloween with some Halloween pictures which showcase Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Nostalgic cardstock collection. This layout came together so easy with the Nostalgic cardstock collection.
The colors are so festive. Sanding this kraft core give so much texture to the layout.
I have made a second page to complement the layout with a large pocket with tag’s, so that additional photo’s can be included.
I added a bit of coloured raffia and some Authentique pattern papers to bring out some color from the photo and all the elements showcase the happiness of the photo so well.
What a great day…the sun is shining…only a few more days until Friday…what more can we ask for? WELL, Designer Debbie Standard has some layouts for you today.
This layout brought a smile to my face today. First up the Cosmo Cricket Woodgrain background…and the colors…yellow…gray…and that pop of red are just awesome! Oh and you cannot forget about the Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Seasonal Impressions. Debbie hand cut those details for her title and subtitles.
And how cute is this??? Debbie was inspired by all the sunburst layouts she has been seeing on Pinterest. SPEAKING of Pinterest…make sure you follow us on our page HERE! What a great way to use up those scraps of Core you have in your bin. AND all those lush embossed (and sanded of course!) designs are gorgeous, gorgeous!
Debbie cut, embossed and sanded each section and then created the sunburst effect along the top. Then she added the Stacy Julian Core Impressions pre-embossed words along the side. Then she added some clouds that she die cut using the Whitewash collection which makes really great clouds by the way because you can lightly sand them and bring out the blue tones.

Design Team Member Debbie Standard uses Core in the most magical ways! Did I say layouts only? ooooops…I am going to squeak in a card there, too.
Check out how she used the Tim Holtz Kraft Core Shattered Collection today.
First up: Embossed AND Sanded
See sketch for this card here.
And a bit of everything on this layout…some sanded die cuts…some embossing and sanding….edge distressing…you name it! It’s perfection.
And another layout from Debbie using some of the scraps from the card above on here and some Tim Holtz KRaft Core Seasonal Impressions…love how these core’dinate, don’t you?
First up…we want to THANK YOU THANK YOU for all of the amazing Design Team applications. WOWOWOWOWOW is all we can say. This is not going to be easy. If you were here the other week you saw that our David Tutera Celebrate Cardmaking system debuted some EXCLUSIVE kits on HSN so make sure you get yours HERE!
We are working on the Design Team applications and should have an answer for you SOOOOOOOOOOOON! I just got back from a Holiday long-weekend so once we get caught up we will let you know.
Today we have some more Spring inspiration for you!
Here is a little bit about this project from Andrea and how she used some Spanish Moss on her project. It looks so GREAT with the earth tones from the Tim Holtz Kraft-Core collections.
I cut elements from a sheet of the Spring Seasonal Impressions cardstock and then I sanded them and applied Paper Glaze medium to each piece before mounting them over the exact same areas of the teal Spring Seasonal Core Impressions page. I used the light colored Kraft Shattered cardstock for my backround and covered the surface with Tim Holtz Distress Stain in Wild Honey to bring out the crackling. My nest and egg were die cut using the Picturesque Cricut cartridge. I used more Shattered Kraft in brown and teal blue and distressed the edges of the nest a bit with a tool before tucking in some Spanish Moss for realistic texture.
And a close up of that fabulous detail:
Love the look of the Spanish moss with the Tim Holtz Kraft Core Shattered!
Happy Spring! Stay tuned for more Easter Projects this week. We have some good ones!
