I am sure you have seen these darling “EOS” brand lip balm in the check-out area of the grocery store. Doesn’t the shape and bright colors of the lip balm remind you of Easter eggs? I decided they would make a darling little Easter gift for some co-workers. They were easy to create, and I found a bulk pack of EOS lip balm at my local Costco, which made this inexpensive! I love that.
Lip Balm Easter Baskets Supplies:
- Core Basics 12×12 Textured Kraft Cardstock (1 1/2 sheets will create 3 baskets)
- Core Essentials Brights Collection Cut and Emboss (yellow, purple and green; for flowers)
- White Decorative Edged Tags
- Darice Medium Flower Punch
- Small Circle Punch
- Darice Green and White Baker’s Twine
- Darice Green Paper Shred
- Silhouette Electronic Cutting Machine, using cut file Design ID #3198 “Woven Basket”
Step 1: Cut three (3) basket shapes using an electronic cutting machine. I did not resize the shape. I fit all three basket shapes onto one sheet of 12×12 Core Basics Kraft cardstock. I cut the handles of the baskets separately on a half sheet of kraft cardstock. Assemble the baskets using a strong adhesive. (I used my trusty hot glue gun!)
Step 2: Using craft punches, create elements for the flowers on the tags. You will need two flower shapes, two leaves and one circle for each tag.
Step 3: Assemble the tags. Stack two flowers, bend the leaves in the center to add dimension, add the circle punch to the flower centers. Stamp or hand write sentiment on tag. Attach tags to baskets using baker’s twine. Add green paper shred to baskets, and insert EOS lip balm!
An “EGG-cellent” inexpensive gift for the season!
