Nothing screams Holiday like a handmade gift set.  Make some tags for your friends quickly and easily! And making your own gift box is SO easy with Core because it is sturdy and folds beautifully. Shaunte used her Silhouette for this project but you can find boxes templates virtually anywhere these days.

I cut this box using Silhouette file (http://www.silhouetteonlinestore.com/?page=view-shape&id=22477) (3D Artisan Box) using Core Impressions (Jenni Bowlin, Scarlet Wallpaper). I was worried that the deep embossing wouldn’t cut well with all the grooves, but it cut like butter. No problems!

After I cut the box, I assembled it using Tombo Mono liguid glue. It is my go-to adhesive for projects that need a strong bond. I have learned that tape runners and glue dots stop working over time on edges and flaps. Tombo Mono is awesome. Sometimes too awesome. Do not try to rearrange anything that has been glued with this stuff- the paper will shred!

I used the scraps leftover from cutting the box to create 12 gift tags.
I circle cut the Core Impressions, and used a scalloped circle punch with some white core essentials. I glued those together, added a fun holly leaf punch with Core Couture to add some sparkle.

Easy-peasy!

The original box cutting file included holes punched to add a ribbon to tie the box closed. When I cut the file on my machine, I took out the holes, and opted to use a Tombow Hook and Loop Tab for the enclosure. When I am wrapping gifts, I don’t have time to tie and untie a ribbon to get into the box, no matter how cute it is! The hook and loop are handy for quick access, and I still added the ribbon for looks!
The tags look adorable in the matching box- and will make a great pre-Chrismas gift for a friend!
