Hey friends! Adrianne here today to share a super easy, heart-filled idea for your Valentine’s Day decor. You can make dozens of hearts in just minutes using your favorite manual cutting machine, making this heart covered wreath a quick and festive paper craft. Choose traditional colors, or the colors that best match your decor!
Valentine’s Day Heart-Covered Wreath Supplies:
- Core’dinations Vintage Collection 6×6 card stock
- Core’dinations Glitter Silk 6×6 card stock
- Sand it Gadget
- Sizzix Big Shot (or your favorite manual die-cutting machine)
- Darice nested heart dies
- Darice scalloped nested heart dies
- Darice heart embossing folders
- 12″ Foam wreath form
- All-purpose craft glue like Aleene’s Tacky Glue
- Foam adhesive dots
Step 1. Choose your colors. I picked a mix of red and purple shades, and embossed the Vintage Collection papers with heart shapes.
Step 2. Sand the papers with the Sand It Gadget to bring out the heart pattern.
Step 3. Arrange the heart dies on your papers to cut as many hearts as possible in several sizes.
Step 4. Starting with the largest hearts, glue hearts onto your wreath form. This layer serves to cover up the foam wreath form.
Step 5. As you move on to adding smaller hearts to fill out the round shape, use foam dots to add depth and dimension to the wreath.
Step 6. Turn the wreath over, and using a pair of sewing pins or small nails, add a wreath hanger to the top of the wreath. It’s lightweight enough it can easily be hung from a nail, or an adhesive hook.
