Hi there, Core’dinations friends. Vivian Keh here today with a Clean and Simple card for St. Patty’s Day. Most of my projects are usually anything but CAS, but I think it’s very important to stretch one’s crafty muscles now and then. It gives me an opportunity to appreciate the skills of folks who design in styles other than mine as well as a chance to see if it’s time to venture into new crafty territory.
For my card, I started out with a bright and happy hue from our Core’dinations “Vintage” Collection, plus a great cutting file for my Silhouette Cameo, #25132 by Sweet Afton. This cutting file has three great borders, including horseshoes and fun St. Patty’s text in addition to the pretty clover strand you see here. I adore accentuating edges of my Core’dinations Cardstock with a delicate sanding of the edges. With these more intricate die-cuts, I do the sanding with a light hand so as not to tear any of the stems.
Have I shared with you how much I adore my Xyron X Sticker Maker? A crafty friend online introduced me to this tool awhile back, and it now sits on my craft table at all times, making adhering strips like these a complete breeze.
My die-cuts went onto a background of Creme Brulee from our Graphic 45 Signature Series. I love this particular cream because it’s very fresh. For a bit of shine, I added some Glossy Accents from Ranger to the clover strip and some text that was also die-cut from my Silhouette, file #39508 by Jamie Koay.
And a few gems from my stash to liven up the white space a little bit but stay within the world of CAS. I rounded the top corner of my cream piece and my green base in order to bring the eye upward. Thanks so much for visiting with me here today!

Tracy Lucky Card:
I’m getting into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit by making a few cards! Green is my favorite color, so naturally I had a blast making these green-filled cards. My first card used a bit of embossing, sanding, coloring, and die-cutting. Start with a piece of green card stock from the Darks Essentials pad and emboss it with the Plaid Darice embossing folder. Then, sand over the embossed part with the Sand-It Gadget. Next, use the different colored green card stocks from the Vintage Collection, Brights Essentials pad, and Pastels Essentials Collection. Use the Lawn Fawn dies to die cut the letters out of the light green piece. Then, emboss that piece with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and sand over it with the Sand It Gadget. Behind the embossed letters, attach a small piece of Copper Shimmer Glitter Silk card stock. Adhere all of those layers together. Lastly, stamp and color the Paper Smooches image on a piece of the 110 lb. white card stock.

Tracy Lucky To Know You Card:
Start off with an A2 sized card base made with a piece of Tim Holtz Kraft Core. Usually I stray away from using a black card base, because you can’t write on the inside of the card easily, but by using the Kraft Core card stock, the inside is now kraft. Next, emboss a piece of gray card stock with the chevron embossing folder and sand it with the Sand It Gadget. Cut the shamrock from the A Child’s Year Cricut cartridge at 2.5.” Emboss that with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and sand it with the Sand It Gadget. Then, use a piece of light green card stock from the Pastels Essentials pad and stamp the sentiment with black ink in the lower right hand corner. Use green chevron ribbon to tie a bow and attach the shamrock with Tombow 3D Foam Tabs.

I would like to share a Wedding Layout with you to celebrate February the month of Sweetheart Valentines.
I choose the Core Amour Whitewash cardstock to showcase how quickly pre-embossed collections from Core’dinations can have a layout completed with a great textured presentation.
I stamped the image using WOW embossing powder to gloss up the image to support the quality of the vintage Core’dinations cardstock. The pre-embossed vintage Core’dinations cardstock makes this card full with dimension after sanding to reveal the inner colored core.
If you like cards you came to the right place, just sayin’! Today we have some gorgeous cards for you from our very talented design team member, . But first… we wanted to say Thank YOU for an awesome week and weekend of Cropping Hard Core style!
We will post winners as SOON as we can. We hope you had as much fun as we did. Seeing Core’dinations in action is always amazing and I learn so much and see so many new things. So stay close!
Now here are Tracy Grubers two CUTE cards. She always stamps beautifully, don’t you think?
There is no question that I love to stamp and color with Copics. The awesome part? I can stamp on my Core Tags and then color them. They are made with a really heavy card stock, which allows you to color and shade your images without the ink bleeding. I used a Lawn Fawn stamp set to make this cute baby card. The background is made with Spotted Jillian Dot and Vintage Core’dinations papers.
The Chocolate Box Collection has some really cool card stock! I love how one side is brown and the other side has a variety of colors that can be revealed when sanded. I used one of this card that was a tan backing to keep with the “animal/jungle” theme. I paper pieced the leaves with green card stock from the Darks paper pad.

Like some amazing projects from Core’dinations, right?!??! Whether it is just some simple sanding, embossing or distressing we have it for you today! Suzanna Lee uses just a bit of distressing on this first layout. It is a great idea if you are just starting to use Core or if you just want a simple touch of the distressed look.
There is so much to point out on this layout but the one touch that strikes me the most is the ground covered fall foliage! Easy to create with a piece of Kraft Core that you wad into a ball and sand to create the nooks and cranny’s of the ground followed by layering of fallen leaves. Both the Marvy Uchida embossing punch and Lawn Fawn dies are perfect for such a task! The mica fragments, embossed wind swooshes and and touch of Imaginisce gold add the perfect complimentary touches!
Sanding those veins is just THE perfect touch!
Oh these leaves!
