We are!

You know we always love colour around here and last month we have a few posts about Colour Lovers. An awesome place where you can go and create your own personalized colour palettes.

WELL….did you know that Core’dinations has it’s own Pinterest boards, too?   Make sure you follow us here because we are using Pinterest as our focus for our monthly challenges.  It’s ALL about colour here at CORE!

Here is the monthly inpsirational piece pinned here by Lydia Jackson:

Can you say Summer?  Can you say Delicious?  YUM! Lydia has named it Peachy Keen. It just screams summer in every way.

from bakersroyale.com

And here is the colour palette Lydia created with Colour Lovers….

And here is Lydia’s take on the challenge:

Lydia sanded, embossed, scored and tore on this layout using Vintage and Core Essentials cardstocks.

What can you do with this colour palette? The rules for our monthly challenge are super simple. You must use this palette as your inspiration (feel free to use the Pinterest photo as well), Core must be recognizable on your project (can be a layout, card, anything paper crafting) and we want to see some technique. You know how we love to see how you work that Core ;)

Link up your projects to this post or our Facebook account by July 27th to win some Core’dinations Cardstock!

Introducing

This week we have a fun week in store for you….we are introducing our NEW 2011 Design Team.  For this special week, each Design Team member created a layout all about themselves.  We will be updating galleries daily with new projects from the team so make sure you check their galleries often!

First up is Lecia Forrest.  Here is a little bit about Lecia in her own words:

I have been creative and passionate about art since I was able to hold a crayon. Constantly drawing on walls and signing my little sisters name to the artwork, I’ve embraced all the creativeness that scrapbooking brings. I first discovered it when I started traveling all over the world and realized I wanted to remember my experiences forever. Then I married the man of my dreams, and we had 2 boys (Riley:7, Jager:5) and a little girl (Ireland: almost 3). Now you will find me embracing the life of a mommy while still teaching locally and traveling internationally teaching scrapbooking and altered art classes where you are sure to have a good time laughing and learning. I have been published in U.S. & Canadian magazines, international websites and blogs. I have also worked on design/educator teams for many of the industry’s leading manufacturers. Currently I am an endorsed educator for Tattered Angels, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L ,Vintage Street Market, Urban Swank and Core’dinations.

Check out the cool details Lecia did with the doilies!  And the black accents on the edge of the cut out, shaped Basic Grey Core Impressions and My Mind’s Eye Core Impressions! Mixing and matching Core is  SO much FUN!

Next up is Lydia Jackson.  Here is a little bit about Lydia in her own words:

My name is Lydia Jackson and I live on the beautiful west coast of Canada, I am a SAHM, with two little boys who are my whole world. I am married to an adoring husband, who loves me, keeps me grounded and supports my addiction to paper. I love life and all it’s imperfections, and I live by and struggle with my motto, believe and anything is possible. I have been formally scrapbooking for 11 years, but I have been a crafter my whole life. I am incredibly excited to be a part of the Core-dinations design team, for me, it is a dream come true.

Hi Everyone! We are here today with MORE Maya Road and Core’dinations projects for you.   Don’t forget to keep leaving your comments on the Maya Road posts this week for a chance to win an awesome prize package filled with Core’dinations goodies.

AND if you missed our Design Team Call announcement yesterday, make sure you check it out here!

How about some layouts today???

These Maya Road Felt Badges are the perfect accent for any project AND they look gReAt with Core’indations, don’t they? Check out this great layout from Design Team Member Melissa Oliveira:

Cardstock used:  Core Essentials and Vintage Cardstock.

Maya Road trim and rubon details finish off this layout beautifully!

Here is a close-up:

And how cool is this layout from Design Team Member Paula Gilarde?! She used Maya Road Chipboard houses and alphas. Check out how perfectly the Maya Road mists “core’dinate” with our cardstock….specially with the shiny Gemstones cardstock.

Cardstocks used:   Core Essentials, Gemstones and Core Impressions.

Not into Misting? That’s okay! Maya Road Chipboard looks great natural especially against some gorgeous Core’dinations Cardstock shown here on a beautiful layout by Design Team Member Heather Bowser:

Cardstock used: Core Essentials.

Have a GREAT week!

Anyone Hungry???

For some Chocolate?  Chocolate Box that is….

Today we are sharing some layouts from our Design Team featuring our Chocolate Box line.

Firs up is a layout from Design Team Member Debbie Standard. Debbie used Chocolate Box as the base of her layout here.  Debbie used Chocolate Box with a blue core and sanded the scored frame to accent the blues throughout the layout.  Also note on both of these layouts the hearts at the bottom of the page!

Other Supplies used: Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions, Core Essentials Cardstocks.

This layout is from Design Team Member Cari Locken.  Brown looks GREAT with everything! The colors on this layout are gorgeous…blues…reds…greens and Cari anchors this layout with some Vintage cardstock as the base and uses the Mint Chocolate Chip Chocolate Box to accent the green. Remember: all of our lines Core’dinate! So the green in the Core of the Chocolate box core’dinates perfectly with the green from the Core Essentials. Isn’t that great? Makes matching colors for your project so easy.

Other Supplies used: myStampBOX stamps; Stacy Julian Core Impressions (red) and Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions.

Today we have some wintery inspiration for you while we are gearing up for CHA! Sneak peaks and projects are flying in, things are getting packed and ready to go and we are gearing up for a TON of new Releases. I hope you are as excited as us!

Today’s inspiration is from Design Team Member Char Dobson.

I know the Holidays are over but this jar would look great for Valentine’s Day with some lollipops, don’t you think? Make sure you check out the amazing scoring on the Core Essentials.

Since we had the 12 Days of Techniques a few weeks ago, I bet you are all experts on scoring by   now, right? Right! Check out the fabulous scoring on this. Again this is just Core Essentials cardstock. Turn your paper on an angle on your scoring tool to get the diagonal lines. For more information on scoring, make sure you check out the video on our website here.  Again, even though this a Holiday themed project you can definitely apply this to any project!

And last but not least Char has the perfect card for the weather we are having here in the states. Lots of snow! Char used Core Essentials, Vintage, Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions AND Whitewash on this card. Don’t be afraid to mix your Core’dinations like Char does.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Helmar Adhesives Grande Finale!

We had a great week of Helmar and Core’dinations Teaming up for some fabulous inspiration!!!!  Make sure you head over to their blog, too. The Helmar blog is jam packed with inspiration this week!!! We are by no means done featuring projects using these great adhesives so make sure you stop by for more in the future. AND today is the LAST day to comment to win some of our fabulous cardstock. You can comment every day for more chances to win.

AND they have an awesome  Facebook Page . P.S. tell them thanks for a fabulous week!  AND CHECK  IT OUT!!! HELMAR IS OFFERING A CHANCE TO WIN, TOO!!!

Today is our grande finale…it’s kinda like a fireworks show. So keep scrolling for some awesome designs using Core’dinations and Helmar Adhesives!  Can you tell our Design team likes the Zap Dots from Helmar? If you haven’t used them YOU MUST! They should be a staple in every crafter’s collection.

We will start off from a gorgeous layout from Design Team member Cari Locken featuring an awesome mix of our different collections. She included the Core Amour Onyx Collection, Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions, Vintage and Core Jenni Bowlin Impressions.

Here is a close-up of how Cari cut the Jenni Bowlin letters from the alpha cardstock and raised them with the Helmar Zap dots:

Next up Design team member Sarah Hodginkson has some super cute invites with Helmar Zap dots, tape runner and SRM STickers and Core Essentials Cardstock:

A super cool layout from Design Team Member Hera Frei (even thought it’s about getting stuck in a Hurricane!). Hera adhered the clouds in various layers with Helmar Zap dots and used her Helmar Tape Runner. Also Hera used the  Core Impressions for the clouds. SO easy…just punch them out and they are embossed and ready to go!

And a card from Design Team member Ellen Sosnoski using some, yep! You guessed it…Helmar Zap dots on the sentiment and 450 Quick Dry Adhesive for the tag and ribbon (also a mix of Vintage Cardstock and Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions):

We will choose a random winner from all the comments this weekend. Thanks so much!
